The Southern Valley students were treated to an outstanding meal today with a homemade pork stir fry utilizing pork that was donated to our school!!!
5th and 6th graders attended the Healthy Habits event hosted by the Extension office. Great ideas on how to stay healthy and each received easy to make recipes that taste great!

Eleven Southern Valley JH students participated in the Furnas County spelling bee. Cohen Wright placed 1st in the written round, and Miles Lanik placed 5th. Cohen and Miles were joined by Cedric Lewis and Brenson Longsine in the oral round. Brenson placed 2nd in the oral round behind Cambridge's student, Halle Downer, and Cohen placed 3rd. Other SV participants were Josslyn Fletcher, Gage Herout, Addilyn Aerni, Dylan Thomas, Corbyn Wright, Kyler Pterson and Cohen Minarik.

The Eagles kicked off district play with a 59-35 victory over Arapahoe. They now advance to take on Bertrand Tuesday night @ 7:30 pm in Bertrand.
