Southern Valley track @ Bertrand
JH track took the the oval again today in Phillipsburg taking on a very talented field. The kids did a great job competing. They return to action Tuesday @ Arapahoe.
HS Girls Track team takes second place at the Jerry Stine Invite at Bertrand. Several PR's from the athletes.

Emily Layton is the spotlight for today in our Salute to the Seniors series leading up to graduation. Please join us in congratulating Emily on all of her accomplishments and wish her the best of luck as she moves on from Southern Valley. Way to go Emily!!
20 SV students attended the Fort Hays State University HS Art Day in Kansas, with all SVHS Art students' work in the exhibit. 19 art certificates were given to: Brooklyn Santifer (1st and 2nd place), Kallie Felzien (3rd place & Award), Emily Layton (3 awards), Marko Jordan (2 awards), Camila Hudson (2 awards), Lily Jordan (3 awards), Ehme Linner, Madalyn Schoen, Addy Warner, Ellora Whitney, and Johnathan Eakin. In addition to seeing other school's art displayed, students also toured the FHSU art building on campus and participated in several creating stations. Great day Eagles! š¦
SV Freshmen attended a Career Fair in Holdrege today. Students learned about different careers and participated in several hands-on activities.
On April 15th, the 4th grade traveled to the Stuhr Museum to learn about the Civil War and tour the old town.

Here is the order of events for the JH Track meet @ Phillipsburg tomorrow.
Junior High Track competed at their first meet of the season on Tuesday. It was the perfect day for a track meet and the kids came out to compete!
JH track kicked off their season today at Alma. Lots of personal bests were posted by tons of kids. They compete again this Thursday @ Phillipsburg.
Today we had a balloon blowing contest just for fun. They did a great job at this. Some got really big.
The Golf Team traveled to Arapahoe for their Invite. Jace misses out on a medal by 2 strokes. As a team they shot a 409. They will travel to Alma for their next meet, on April 22nd.
The first junior high track meet is today! It is in Alma at 1:00 PM. Running events will start at 3:00 PM.
