Southern Valley art students received these awards at the RPAC Art competition on Wednesday: Conference medalist Alyson Adams, 1st place honorable mention Ehme Linner, 2nd place honorable mention Kallie Felzien, and 3rd Place honorable mention Emily Layton. Congratulations! These artworks will be in a travelingĀ exhibit of RPAC schools and will be on display at Southern Valley from February 1st through the 7th.Ā Also having artwork representing SV were: Rylee Smith, Abree Karash, Brooklyn Santifer, Paden Schriner, Shyloh Gavierez, Emma Jordan, Camila Hudson, and Madalyn Schoen.Ā


RPAC Basketball begins this Saturday @ Med Valley (Curtis). Both the girls & boys teams will take on Bertrand. The girls game will begin @ 11:00 am with the boys to follow @ 12:30 pm.

Come out to support our basketball teams tomorrow and pick up some treats. The Southern Valley Education Association will be having a bake sale, with proceeds providing scholarships to graduating seniors.


JH Boys BB took on Arapahoe today with the A team coming out on top. They return to action this Thursday when they travel to Alma for a 2:30 pm tipoff.




SV Fashion Design students earned a Free Cook Day through our SOAR program. Students are Safe, have Ownership, successful Attitude, and Respect. #GoEagles



Family and Consumer Science students set a One-Word goal for 2024. SV students are living their goals and are ready to SOAR!

JV boys game at Northern Valley has been canceled due to weather.

The RPAC vocal clinic & concert scheduled for today has been postponed.

The JH basketball teams headed to Axtell today. The girls and boys teams both brought home second place finishes with both teams defeating Axtell and coming up short vs Amherst. This brings the girls season to an end. The boys will play Arapahoe tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan 16 at SV starting at 2:00 pm.



We will have another late start tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16th due to the cold. In addition, we will be changing Wednesday to a normal school day. It will no longer be Friday dismissal day.

Southern Valley Schools will have a 2 hr late start on Monday, January 15 due to the cold temperatures. Please plan accordingly.


Coming within 6 points in the final quarter, the SV boys fall short against Holdrege losing with a final score of 77-61. They will take on the Arapahoe Warriors next Thursday at home. #svnation
