District 3 Congressman Adrian Smith recognized three SV art students today for awards in the Congressional Art Caucus contest: 1st place to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol in DC for one year with others from across the nation--senior Alyson Adams, 2nd place being displayed in the Congressman's DC office--junior Brooklyn Santifer, 5th place to be displayed in Smith's Nebraska City office--Shyloh Gavierez. Southern Valley goes 2-2 today at the State Quiz Bowl in Hastings . Their losses were to Elkhorn North and Norfolk. They finished in the top six. Great job by all!
