The Saints took on Kearney High & Hwy 6 tonight in Holdrege at the Hall of Fame Jamboree. Lots of girls got game action throughout the night. The regular season kicks off next Friday, Aug 22 vs Chadron. Game time is 4:30 pm for JV, Varsity to follow

Due to a sprinkler malfunction at the softball field in Stamford, the parent meeting/scrimmage that is schedule for Saturday, August 16 will now be held in ALMA. Same start time of 9:00 am as previously communicated.

The SVA Saints kick off their season tonight @ Holdrege in the Jamboree contest. A reminder that this is a fundraiser for the Nebraska High School Hall of Fame so no passes are accepted.

Sign-up sheets for grades 4-6 volleyball league are being sent home today with your Elem students. If interested in playing, the forms are due back to school by next Tuesday, August 19. If you have any questions, please reach out to Lacy Rice at Southern Valley Elementary.

HS Fall Sports Parent Meeting will begin in the auditorium at 7:15 pm and then split into individual sports meetings from there.

Support the Southern Valley Education Association’s scholarship fund—last year, five SV seniors each received $250 scholarships.

Stop by the high school atrium to enjoy a free meal provided by the school and pick up a dessert to take home for the week. Your sweet tooth can help support our seniors’ futures!

Mandatory enrollment paperwork - All new students enrolling at Southern Valley (including PreK) must have all paperwork and documents submitted to their respective front office by Friday August 15th. This includes: Birth certificate, Immunization Records or Religious exemption waiver. If you need to order a new copy of the birth certificate, please provide to the front office a copy of your order form/receipt to demonstrate that a new certificate is on the way. There is an error on the printed calendars that were mailed out. The Softball Jamboree is on August 15th and not the 22nd. The games vs. Chadron are on August 22.

The Southern Valley fall sports teams would like to thank Dave Hunt of Principal Financial for his generous donation of sports drinks! The football boys got their weight lifting in before practice by unloading 1000 bottles! During the hot days of practice, these drinks will keep our athletes hydrated. Thank you, Dave!!
