Coach Dexter Becker was awarded the McIntyre Watnam Award in memory of John McIntyre and Brett Watnam. Becker was chosen for the award because he has the best interests of the students in mind, and because he has developed a strong and competitive wrestling program at SV. 6th graders went to the Golden Generation Center in Oxford today to spread some Christmas cheer by handing out Christmas cards and playing games.
The FFA fundraiser (fruit, 4 seasons, summer sausage & pecans) has arrived @ Southern Valley.
All students who sold for the FFA will need to pick up their items to deliver tomorrow, Thursday, December 14 after 3:00 pm.
Mr. Lanik will be at school through the basketball games tomorrow night if an adult needs to come pick up the orders.
