Girls State Wrestling Update
Hayley Serfontein wins by pin in the Quarterfinals which makes history for the Girls Wrestling program as she will be the 1st state medal winner in program history!!! She will wrestle tomorrow at 12:30 pm in the State Semifinals.
Cali, Laney & Elena will wrestle on the backside of the bracket starting at 9:00 am.

Cali & Hayley both won their opening round matches and will wrestle here shortly in the Quarterfinals round.
Laney & Elena came up short but will fight their way through the backside of the bracket starting tomorrow morning.

There are still tickets available for all sessions (boys and girls). Please tell your parents and fans that they can avoid all fees and purchase a ticket at the box office the day of the event. Any ticket advertised online for a face value of more than $10 is a third-party vendor that has purchased a ticket and is reselling it.
Boyās sessions 5 & 6 tickets will only be available at the box office the day of the session.
High school basketball plays against Maywood-Hayes Center this evening in the subdistrict semi-finals. Their game will be played in Maywood at 5:00 PM. Wish them luck!

The SV squad got the ball rolling in districts tonight defeating Hi-Line 60-37. They will take on Maywood-Hayes Center at 5:00 pm in Maywood. Keep it rolling ladies!!!

Mikah - 8th in extemporaneous speaking
Lauren - 7th in serious pros
Gavin - 5th in persuasive
Maleah - 4th in persuasive and 8th in poetry
Fallon - 8th in entertainment
AmaLeigh- 5th in POI
Team - 5th
Next meet is conference on Wednesday.

The boys battled but came up short tonight against DCS. They will return to action next Friday night, Feb 20 to close out the regular season when Axtell visits the Nest.
Tonight we were proud to recognize our Seniors for Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball and Cheerleading along with their parents. We want to wish them luck as they finish up their careers here at Southern Valley.
The girls came up short tonight against a highly rated DCS squad. Their season continues Monday when SV takes on Hi-Line in the opening round of district play. The game will be in Maywood starting at 6:30 pm.

High school boys and girls basketball compete against DCS tonight at home. Senior night will also be hosted for the basketball and cheerleading seniors. The cheerleaders will perform their state cheer routine at halftime of the boys' game. Go Eagles!
