Due to the overnight rain, the softball tournament at Holdrege scheduled for today, Saturday August 30 is cancelled due to unplayable fields.

The Eagles fought to the very end but came up short tonight against Franklin. They return to action next week @ Arcadia-Loup City.

Congrats to our Homecoming King & Queen, Isaac Hamilton & Tori Bose as well as all of our Homecoming Court members.

The SVA Saints split their two games in their triangular action this afternoon. The Saints fell to Alliance 12-5 before rallying to defeat Gothenburg 12-3. They return to action on Saturday morning @ the Holdrege invite at 9:00 am.

The Alliance softball team had a little snag on their trip here so we will not be starting promptly at 2:00 pm. Once Alliance arrives to Stamford, we will allow them their normal pregame warmup time.

The XC team took 16 runners to Medicine Valley and came home with 5 medals! Junior Hayley Serfontein placed 8th and freshman Addison Lozo placed 12th. Landon Varvel placed 4th, Cooper Lans placed 8th, and Cedric Lewis placed 10th in the junior high boys division. Since only 3 of the 16 runners had ever competed in an XC race, lots of PR's were set! Next meet is at Cambridge on Friday, September 5th.

The Eagle Football Team takes on the Franklin Flyers tonight for Homecoming and also their opening game of the season. Kickoff is at 7:00 PM, and the theme is Blackout. Go Eagles!!
