Thursday means Read Aloud time for some of the 5th and 6th graders in Mrs. Marquez's classroom. These kids did a great job reading to their peers!

SV beats Sutherland 25-20 and 25-19 in the first game of the triangular. They lost a tough fought second match to a very good Southwest team. They will play again on Saturday at the Elm Creek Tournament.

Due to player illness, there will NOT be a JV triangular tonight, Thursday, September 12 @ Southern Valley.
Varsity will remain as previously scheduled to begin @ 5:00 pm.

The softball girls play Cozad tonight! They are starting at 5:00 PM with JV. Varsity will play after. The games are in Stamford.
The Lady Eagles have another triangular today! They play Sutherland at @5:00 PM and Southwest at 7:00 PM. JV will play at the same times in the Elementary gym. Good luck!!
Today Southern Valley Schools participated in a mock/practice Cardiac Emergency Drill.
Southern Valley School is in the process of becoming a heart-safe school. In order for this designation to be achieved, the staff must hold multiple drills each school year. We want to thank Oxford EMS for helping us to perform our drill this morning.
Once again, it was only a drill, and there was not a cardiac emergency @ Southern Valley today.
Tayley Becker brings home more hardware placing 9th at the Lexington XC invite. Jazemine Lujan placed 22nd. Prestin Horwart placed 16th, Isaac Hamilton 19th, Trent Shockman 25th and Bryton Stalder 35th. Corbyn Wright placed 23rd in the JH girls 3K.
SV volleyball hosted a triangular with Elm Creek & Franklin.
The varsity swept both matches 2-0.
The JV continues to make great improvements and played their best volleyball tonight even though they came up short.
Both teams back in action Thursday night starting @ 5:00 pm.
SVA Saints beat Lexington tonight in JV (15-2) and Varsity (12-0) action. They will play again at home vs. Cozad on Thursday.

The junior high volleyball team continues their season today! They head to Minden and play at 4:30 PM!
JV football comes up short against the Loomis Wolves tonight. They will play again next Monday at home vs Alma.
Southern Valley FBLA Officers 2024-2025
SV JH football & volleyball kicked off their seasons @ Loomis today. The SV football team came out on top 22-8 while the volleyball teams came up short in the A & C games with the B squad pulling out the victory.
JH VB returns to action Tuesday @ Minden starting at 4:30 pm.
