The 4th graders had a wonderful trip to Lincoln to tour the State Capitol. We learned about Nebraska's government and the history of historic building. While we didn't get to go inside of the stadium, we ate lunch outside of it and some braved the cold and walked around.
There is a high school track meet at Wood River this afternoon. It will start at 1:30 PM. Go Eagles!
High school golf competes at the Lakeside Golf Course today. Their meet starts at 10:00 AM. Good luck to those competing!

Mark your calendars of a celebration of Southern Valley!! Fun for everyone.
SV is proud of our FCCLA State Leadership Conference competitors. Students took challenge tests and had the top three scores in the state on six exams. Ten students completed in skills contests including culinary knife skills, pastry arts, fashion drawing, interview skills, and impromptu speaking, with nine members finishing in the top three! In STAR events, 18 students competed in six events earning one bronze, four silver, and one gold medal. Eight members qualified to compete at the National FCCLA Conference in Washington, DC this summer.
