The golf team teed off their season today at the Cardinal Country Club vs. Alma and Bertrand. They finished 2nd behind Alma as a team. They will travel to Cambridge on Tuesday.

Today we kick off our annual Salute to the Seniors as we will highlight one senior each school day until graduation. Gracie Chavez is our spotlighted Senior for today. Please join us in congratulating Gracie and wishing her the best of luck as she finishes her time at SV!!

The SV Elementary students enjoyed the Annual Hot Wheels races this past week. We would especially like to thank David and Lonnie Moore for over two decades of help keeping this tradition going. Congratulations to all the winners!




SV FCS students attended the UNL Textiles, Merchandising, and Fashion Design Expo in Lincoln. They had a great day designing, exploring, and learning!

Southern Valley Prom 2025 will be the Golden Generation Center in Oxford this Saturday. Preview of the decorations will be from 5-5:45. Promenade will start at 6:00. Even if the weather doesn't cooperate, the promenade will be outside, so please plan accordingly.

4th grader Leah Hoxmeier earned a blackout in Reading Challenge Bingo! Congratulations Leah!!

Mrs. Ruskamp's class got a picnic for their soar reward. It was a little chilly but was a lot of fun.

Today in 7th grade social studies class students re-created the Silk Road and worked on trading with each other.




2nd Grader Emma Hoxmeier started her week by earning her 4th blackout in Reading Challenge Bingo! This brings her to a total of 72 chapter books read this school year! She challenged herself to earn a blackout every quarter, and she did it! Congratulations Emma!

Today is World Down Syndrome day...3/21. The date was chosen to represent the triplication of the 21st chromosome. We advocate for the rights, inclusion, and well being of people with Down syndrome.

The first track meet of the year is today! The team heads to Cambridge, starting at 1:00 PM.

Hey everyone! Our Kids Heart Challenge started this week! ā¤ļø
Our goal is to spread awareness through our fun heart health activities & dress up days we have this week and to have our students complete Finn's Mission online.
We are already almost halfway to goal of $3,000. Our end date is Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
